FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Answers for patients exploring care options, and for healthcare providers considering Ulseter.
Patients
What is Ulseter?
Ulseter is a healthcare access intelligence platform. It helps people explore and compare healthcare options using sourced, dated evidence about cost, waiting time, and trust.
Is Ulseter a hospital?
No. Ulseter is not a healthcare provider. It compares information about independent healthcare facilities; care itself is always provided by the facility you choose.
Does Ulseter provide medical advice?
No. Ulseter is not medical advice, a diagnosis tool, or a booking service. It matches a described need to a known category and organizes available information, it never interprets symptoms or suggests a diagnosis.
How are providers selected?
Providers are compared using evidence already recorded for each option, cost, waiting time, and trust signals among them. Ranking is never influenced by payment or by whether a provider has claimed their listing.
Are prices guaranteed?
No. Displayed cost reflects the most recent evidence recorded, not a guaranteed quote. Actual prices are confirmed with the provider directly.
What happens after Request Care?
The provider you requested care from sees your enquiry, along with your verified contact email, in their own request inbox and manages and responds to it from there. Ulseter does not book appointments and does not guarantee a response.
Providers
How do I claim my facility?
Search for your facility on Ulseter, then request to manage its listing as an authorized representative. Claims are reviewed before any management access is granted.
Does claiming affect ranking?
No. Provider participation does not influence ranking. A comparison is ordered using the evidence recorded for each option, never by whether a facility has been claimed.
Can I update my information?
Yes. Once your claim is approved, you can submit updated cost, availability, and service information. Submissions are reviewed before they appear publicly.
How do patient requests work?
A patient can send a Request Care enquiry for your facility. It appears in your request inbox, and you manage and respond to it from there. There is no guarantee of how many, if any, patients will send a request.
Is Ulseter a booking platform?
No. Request Care is not an appointment booking service and does not guarantee an outcome. It lets a patient ask to be contacted; what happens next is arranged directly between the patient and the provider.
